In her works, the 2023 Käthe Kollwitz Prize winner Sandra Vásquez de la Horra addresses conflicts that are currently preoccupying us worldwide — she confronts questions of gender order and sexuality, intercultural reflections and spiritual practices with archetypes of our collective consciousness and social taboos. At the centre of her poetic imagery is human existence — explicitly women and the female body. The exhibition catalogue contains numerous images and an essay by Siegfried Zielinski.
